Working with the public Workshop
For those who this includes doing Reiki sessions for the public (be that voluntarily or professionally), here is a special opportunity to attend the ‘Working with the Public’ 1-day in-person workshop with me, covering many aspects of delivering Reiki treatments to the public.
What you will cover
Discussions and understanding around
Role of the Practitioner, professionalism, and managing boundaries
Client booking, pre-appointment requirements and setting expectations
Initial consultation, informed consent, permissions and aftercare
Advertising claims, approved wording to describe Reiki to the public
Key requirements you need to understand working with the public
The focus is on practically delivering Reiki appointments to national occupational standards, for the public in both professional and voluntary settings. The workshop covers parts of delivering appointments that are not covered in Reiki training courses.
Think of it as looking at the other parts you need to consider around the delivery of a Reiki treatment. Ensuring that the way you conduct your treatment sessions is within existing regulations and to national occupational standards, so can help you raise professionalism and avoid problems.
At the end of the workshop, JRUKA will record your attendance and issue an attendance certificate. So, if you wish to join the JRUKA Verified Practitioner Programme in the future, you will have already met the workshop requirement.
Note: There is no Reiki training or business training element to the workshop.
Note: As you will be joining the existing Verified Practitioner Programme Workshop, so there will be a few documents you need to familiarise yourself with before the workshop.
Note: this is only open to JRUKA members, many of you already are members, however if you are not a member and would like to attend you can find out about the benefits of joining the JRUKA here:
Note: This is the only date I will run this workshop before I step back from leading the JRUKA Verified Practitioner Programme. I will not be running this workshop again. There will be opportunities in the future to attend in other areas of the UK with other teacher/assessors, but be aware this will be the only one in the Midlands.
